DISEASES TREATED

AUTOIMMUNE & INFLAMMATORY ARTHRITIS

  1. Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) – A chronic autoimmune disease causing joint inflammation, pain, stiffness, and potential joint damage.

  2. Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) – An inflammatory arthritis associated with psoriasis, leading to joint pain, swelling, and skin lesions.

  3. Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS)/Axial Spondyloarthritis – A form of arthritis that primarily affects the spine, causing pain, stiffness, and possible spinal fusion.

  4. Reactive Arthritis/Post Viral Arthritis (eg. Chikungunya arthritis) – Inflammation of joints triggered by an infection, often affecting the knees, ankles, and feet.

CONNECTIVE TISSUE & AUTOIMMUNE DISEASES

  1. Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) – A multisystem autoimmune disease causing inflammation in the skin, joints, kidneys, heart, and other organs.

  2. Sjögren’s Syndrome – An autoimmune disorder affecting moisture-producing glands, leading to dry eyes and dry mouth.

  3. Systemic Sclerosis (Scleroderma) – A disease causing skin thickening, blood vessel damage, and possible organ involvement.

  4. Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (MCTD) – A condition with overlapping features of lupus, scleroderma, and polymyositis.

  5. Polymyositis/Dermatomyositis – Inflammatory muscle diseases causing weakness, with dermatomyositis also presenting with a characteristic skin rash.

CRYSTAL-INDUCED ARTHRITIS

  1. Gout – A form of arthritis caused by uric acid crystal buildup in joints, leading to severe pain and swelling, often in the big toe.

  2. Calcium Pyrophosphate Deposition Disease (CPPD, Pseudogout) – Arthritis caused by calcium crystal deposits in joints, leading to inflammation and pain.

VASCULITIS (BLOOD VESSEL INFLAMMATION)

  1. Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) – An inflammatory disease of large blood vessels, often affecting the head and causing headaches and vision problems.

  2. Takayasu Arteritis – A rare condition causing inflammation of large arteries, leading to reduced blood flow and organ damage.

  3. Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA, Wegener’s Granulomatosis) – A type of vasculitis affecting the respiratory tract and kidneys.

  4. Microscopic Polyangiitis (MPA) – A vasculitis affecting small blood vessels, often involving the lungs and kidneys.

  5. IgA Vasculitis (Henoch-Schönlein Purpura) – A small-vessel vasculitis causing rash, joint pain, and kidney involvement, mostly in children.

OTHER RHEUMATIC & MUSCULOSKELETAL DISORDERS

  1. Osteoarthritis (OA) – A degenerative joint disease caused by cartilage breakdown, leading to pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility.

  2. Fibromyalgia – A chronic pain condition characterized by widespread muscle pain, fatigue, and sleep disturbances.

  3. Sarcoidosis – An inflammatory disease that can affect multiple organs, particularly the lungs and lymph nodes.

  4. Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (Including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) – Conditions characterized by joint hypermobility, pain, and connective tissue abnormalities.
